Renowned Chinese Ensemble Peiyang Chorus to Tour US
At the invitation of eight U.S. universities, the Peiyang Chorus of Tianjin University in China, a world-renowned international ensemble, is touring the United States in March.
This tour aims to promote cultural exchange between academic institutions in China and the United States. During the U.S. tour, the superb performance of Peiyang Chorus has deeply impressed music lovers and attracted widespread media attention. On March 25 (Thursday), a farewell concert will be held at Flushing High School Auditorium in Queens, NYC.
Founded in 1985, Peiyang Chorus has been awarded seven gold medals in international competitions and honored as a world-class chorus by International Federation for Choral Music. For the past two decades, Peiyang Chorus has offered performances in more than 20 countries. It has performed nearly 1,000 choral compositions in various styles and in more than ten languages. The Chairman of the International Federation of Choral Music, Mr. Lupwishi Mbuyamba, has praised the chorus as “China’s Angels.”
