Taiko has developed into a wide range of percussion instruments that are used in both Japanese folk and classical musical traditions. Cobu, a professional taiko drumming group, will perform their critically acclaimed pieces and then participants will have a chance to learn from these rhythmic masters.

Cobu was created as a Live Rhythm Performing Arts Group in 2000, and combines elements of Japanese traditional taiko drumming with rhythmic tap dancing. The extremely positive impact of the performance has received rave reviews from The New York Times.
