In search for the perfect “Kore” sauce that captures the essence of Korean food, we are hosting a 5-day exclusive pop up dinner event that features a unique collaborative effort by our chefs of Delicious Prank and Executive Chef Lenny Moon of Barn Joo. Lenny Moon brings a wealth of culinary experience and knowledge having worked at Jung Sik (2-Michelin Star) We are excited to collaborate with him and share our efforts with all of you.
We will be doing a single each evening seating starting at 7:00pm (doors open for drinks at 6:30pm) . Diners will be treated to a 6 course dinner with a focus on a unique sauce for each serving that has universal appeal with strong Korean influence. Expect a few surprises along the way. Wine + beer will be available for purchase on site. We will also offer a wine pairing option for $35 to go with each course.
An explanation of our menu for the evening is as follows:
Course 1: “Bugak” lightly fried seasonal dried vegetables and seaweed with Korean chili mayo
Burdock root, nori, sesame leaves, glutinous rice paste, chili mayo
Course 2: Collaboration 1 – Poké salad by Chef Lenny with a spicy Korean sudachi dressing
Marinated tuna, cucumber, almond & sunflower seeds, tortilla chips, mixed vegetables, sudachi citrus dressing
Course 3: Korean Pumpkin Soup with Omija Berry Sauce
Pumpkin, corn dashi, Sae-al (sweet rice cake), omija berry, coconut milk
Course 4: Sous vide catfish with Green Kore Sauce
Catfish, pickled king oyster mushroom with carrots, green fish sauce
Course 5: Collaboration 2 – Beef Brisket “steak” by Our Secret Star Chef with Red Kore Sauce
Beef brisket “steak”, “bibimbap” orzo salad, yuggyejang “gravy” sauce
Course 6: Two-way rice pudding with black figs
Coconut custard cream, textured rice two ways, black figs, sesame
