Gallery Max New York
552 Broadway (between Prince and Spring Streets), Suite 401, New York, NY
The 4th annual photo exhibition at Gallery Max New York features scenic, accidental, humorous, and illusive moments of everyday life captured by three photographers: Max Fujishima, Kazuko Hyakuda, and Ryoichi Miura.
Max Fujishima captures and expresses the relentless flow of time and the moments that exist in the interface between the photographer and the subject on the other side of the lens. There is a consistency to the creative style and world view that flows through his diverse themes, no matter what the subject of his lens happen to be: nature, cities, or dolls. He prefers to capture his subject as it is, illuminated by whatever light is available.
Kazuko Hyakuda pursues to represent the depths of one’s consciousness by capturing water surfaces that show a variety of abstract patterns created by natural phenomena such as weather, time, light angles, and more. She layers designs onto photographed images
Ryoichi Miura is the publisher and CEO of the free, weekly Japanese language newspaper SHUKAN NY SEIKATSU, established in 2004. He has taken the majority of the front-page cover photographs for more than 600 issues, reflecting the four seasons and current hot-issue topics in New York City.
