Music Director Mark Shapiro and ASCAP Award-winner The Cecilia Chorus of New York (180 voices with orchestra) present “A Bach Family Christmas”, featuring J. S. Bach’s Magnificat, seasonal works by Bach’s relatives, and the world premiere of Jonathan Breit’s comic intermezzo Der Zippelfagottist, in which Bach insults a bassoon player. Soloists include Metropolitan Opera Lindemann Young Artist Rihab Chaieb and Wolf Trap Young Artist Matthew Swensen.
