Plot: Kiki, a young witch-in-training, has reached the age of her mandatory year of independent life. She finds her own way to live with her cat named Jiji.
Awards: Anime Grand Prix prize (1990), Mainichi Film Award (1990), Japan Academy Prize (1990) etc.
Major theme of this movie is Kiki’s transition into adulthood and independence which a lot of students are facing or faced when they left their parents. It is a good opportunity to think how it is/was and appreciate their families who are supporting them.
