Columbia Japan Society is excited to bring you Matsuri: the annual Japanese spring festival on Low Plaza that is sure to provide fun and entertainment for all!

Come on board and start your afternoon with some delicious Japanese food: sushi, takoyaki, hibachi, curry–pick your favorite! Meanwhile watch some amazing performances ranging from Japanese gypsy rock to traditional taiko drumming to animated J-pop bands featured on the stage.

Have you ever wanted a pet goldfish? Of course you have! Master the goldfish scooping pool, then try your artistic hand at lantern decorating, origami, and anime drawing booths. You’ll just have to come and see what other activities we have in store! Commemorate the day with a beautiful gift from the Japanese vendors and a photo of you and your friends wearing traditional Japanese yukata by the Torii gate.
