Sundaram Tagore Gallery
547 West 27th Street, New York, NY 10001
Collector and gallery owner Sundaram Tagore will take us on a private viewing of the solo exhibition by Beijing-based artist Zheng Lu.
His sculptural installation evokes splashes of water suspended in mid-air. The breathtaking stainless-steel sculptures are inscribed with thousands of Chinese characters, which lace the surface with text from Appreciation of Still Water by Tang dynasty poet Bai Juyi. Not only celebrating the power of water in his work but also drawing on the custom of apprentices copying masters’ works, Zheng Lu’s intricate masterpieces are not to be missed!
