KACF is organizing its Summer Benefit on Thursday, June 29th at the Box (189 Chrystie St.), starting at 7pm.
This is an annual event that is hosted by KACF Associate Board, ambassadors who fulfill the Foundation’s mission by raising awareness of community issues and guiding a new generation of philanthropists. Through the Summer Benefit, the Associate Board aims to bring together nearly 200 community-minded professionals for an evening of fun, music, live auction, raffle and more to raise funds to support KACF’s work to increase economic self-sufficiency of vulnerable Korean Americans.
Kyung B. Yoon, KACF Executive Director, says, “I am so proud of the tremendous efforts of our Associate Board members to mobilize their peers to better understand the needs of the Korean American community and more importantly, to get involved in being a part of the solution.”
The Korean American Community Foundation transforms and empowers communities through philanthropy, volunteerism and inter-community bridge building. KACF pursues these goals through grantmaking that promotes self-sufficiency for the underserved and under-resourced, through raising awareness of needs and issues, and by fostering a culture of giving.
Our vision is a vibrant Korean American community working together to strengthen our society.
