Since September 2016, a group of young 15 Asian American women, trans, and gender non-conforming people living in New York City have been working with NAPAWF to conduct community-based research to inform our organizing. We are excited to present our blueprint that can guide our ongoing and future organizing for Reproductive Justice in our communities.
The hope is that this research will bolster our work in holding local policy makers, healthcare providers, and community workers accountable for the needs and wants of our people. We created space for young Asian American women, trans, and gender non-conforming people to connect, strategize, and organize with each other and asked: “What are the barriers to meaningful access to sexual and reproductive healthcare in NYC for Asian American women and gender non-conforming people ages 18-35?”
