Nuo Spiritual Dance & Art Foundation will introduce Nuo Spiritual Dance Series, a sneak peek at Chinese dancer/choreographer Nuo An’s new “Spiritual Dance” work “Moving Through Tea: Green Tea, Black Tea, and Pu’er Tea” on Friday, April 27, 2pm at Gibney Dance, 280 Broadway, NYC. The April 27 workshop preview will include performances by Nuo An and her company of 10 dancers, followed by a Q/A.
Nuo An’s full-evening of “Spiritual Dance” will have its premiere performance on Friday, May 11 at 8pm, Peter Norton Symphony Space, 2537 Broadway, and will include two original dance works: “Universal Emotions” and “Moving Through Tea.” Nuo An’s company of 10 dancers will be accompanied by live music. Performances will be followed by a fundraising event and live art auction. The work of emerging Japanese artist, Yoshi Ito, will be included at the auction event.
WHAT: On April 27 Nuo An Spiritual Dance & Art Foundation will introduce Nuo Spiritual Dance Series and preview the choreographer’s premiere work, “Moving Through Tea.” The preview will include Nuo An’s company of ten dancers, plus musicians. A question and answer session will follow the presentation.
