In conjunction with PlayCo’s English production of Time’s Journey Through a Room, internationally-renowned playwright/director and founder of the theater company chelfitsch Toshiki Okada leads an intensive workshop for actors, choreographers, dancers and physical theater artists. Okada’s directorial style, in which actors incrementally exaggerate everyday gestures and mannerisms through his stream of consciousness dialogue, won him critical acclaim worldwide. Delve into the idiosyncrasies of language and the physical body in this rare chance to work with one of the most talked-about Japanese directors living today.
Max. 15 participants. Performance or directing experience required.
