After last year’s wildly successful run, Flora Martinez returns to Queens Theatre with a newly expanded version of her meticulous exploration of the life and work of Frida Kahlo.
Frida Libre presents a unique vision of the magical world of one of the most influential women in Latin American history.
Martinez explores Frida’s art, her success, her intriguing sexuality, her passion for politics and her complex relationship with Diego Rivera.
Frida’s rich, fascinating story is told through dialogue and song, under the musical direction of Jose Reinoso.
