The 1st Nippon America Discovery Film Festival (NADf2) will be held at the Anthology Film Archives in East Village, New York City (32 2nd Ave, NYC) on November 16 – November 17,
2018.
NADf2 showcases extraordinary Japanese films in the genres of documentary and drama and invites New Yorkers to discover an unknown Japan. The festival features five films about the drug addiction in Japan (“SHIROYAMI-White Darkness”), the Japanese LGBTQ experience (“Itecho”), the mixed-race experience in Japan (“Hafu – the mixed-race experience in Japan”), the world-renown Japanese artists, Yayoi Kusama (“Yayoi Kusama: I Love Me”) and a human drama of the father and son living in metal casting industry which has 400 years of its history (“DENSAN”).
“Nippon America Discovery (NAD)” is a brand new project to connect “Nippon (Japan)” and “America” to discover new aspects of Japanese culture and people (Discovery) in New York. NAD was conceived and founded by Mar Creation, Inc. YomiTime, Inc. and RH+ in January this year, and, NADf2 is sponsored by Noon Tan Music & Entertainment, Inc.
