Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for financial planning and analysis process including partnering with the business unit functional teams to drive relevant information (P&L, product line profitability, efficiency metrics, product level forecasts) to enable sound business decisions that drive growth and maximize profitability and cash flow for the business
  • Responsible for developing the end to end Asia P&L by business unit to measure the performance of Biosciences in Asia Pacific
  • Lead or assist in performing analyses to decide go-to market strategies (channel versus direct) to develop sales in Asia Pacific. Also, establish distributor performance metrics to drive performance
  • Lead or assist in performing competitive assessment including product portfolio comparison, pricing comparison, customer perceptions and strength of supply chain
  • Support the development of the overall strategic plan for Asia Pacific through customer and market analysis which will establish BID as the leading organization in the region
  • Work with the business units to setup the appropriate SIOP process to better serve the customer in Asia Pacific
  • Responsible for reviewing the existing supply chain and making recommendations to drive business process improvements to deliver products in a timely manner including setting up of local warehouses and logistics capabilities
  • Assist in developing a sourcing plan thru analysis showing the opportunities from Asian sourced activities
  • Responsible for all the analysis for all Mergers and Acquisitions in Asia Pacific including historical financial reviews, pro-forma financial estimates, feasibility economics, market size estimates, etc..
  • Support PPI (Practical Process Improvement) and PPI Lean activities in Asia Pacific and drive productivity improvement and efficiency for both manufacturing and general business processes.
  • Responsible for measuring and reporting PPI / Productivity goals for Asia Pacific
  • Coordinate the implementation of KBM’s (Key Business Matrices) and use of KBM’s as a management tool
  • Special projects as assigned in connection with the Biosciences Division goals and strategy
  • Extensive travel required to customer sites and manufacturing sites, and some Thermo Fisher leadership events. It is expected this position will spend at least 50% of time in Asia.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelors degree
  • MBA or equivalent executive business education a plus.
