It’s first rate. It’s bound to elate. We can’t wait. So don’t be late.
The Entrepreneur Space, a food-and-business incubator operated by the Queens Economic Development Corporation, will turn eight years old in grand style with food, networking, and high spirits at its home, 36-46 37th St. in Long Island City, on June 14 from 6 pm to 8 pm.
Dubbed “8 Is Great,” the anniversary bash will provide attendees with the chance to sample delicious products in the very place where they’re made. They will also get to meet the diverse makers (aka “foodpreneurs”) and hear the stories behind the recipes.
More than 20 foodpreneurs will be there, offering everything from vegan soul food to Venezuela-style arepas to specialty hot dogs. Desserts include Puerto Rican flan, pudding, and chocolates inspired by Milene Jardine’s world travels. Dog treats, coffee, and pretzels are also on the menu. Those who dare to spice things up will savor hot sauces inspired from Thailand.
All are invited to 8 Is Great, and admission is free. Attendees will be able to buy products there and enter a raffle to win a basket filled with foodpreneur products. Expect a triumphant atmosphere as there’s a lot to celebrate. The E-Space has helped more than 600 small businesses, generated more than $8 million in revenue, and created more than 120 jobs over the past eight productive years.
