AsianInNY, New York’s leader in Asian networking and a multicultural platform, presented their largest annual fashion show during New York Fashion Week for their 11th Anniversary. With a new line up for Spring/Summer 2020 collections, AsianInNY’s 11th Annual Fashion Show was held on Saturday, September 14th at the Garment District inside TF Chen Art Building located at 335 West 35th Street New York.

Launched in 2008, AsianInNY is committed to supporting the Asian community by hosting spectacular shows to highlight international and local designers, artists, performers, brands, and businesses. This year’s inspiring event featured three Taiwanese designers including Minika Ko, Lawrence Chang, and Tzuyuan Wei.  The fashion event also presented the first ever children’s runway show featuring Asian designer brands BARQUE and Vierra Rose. In addition to a dazzling fashion runway show, the evening included live performances from world-renowned musician Kenneth Kuo, dancer and choreographer Ashley Liang, and singer/actress Ya Han Chang. This year’s fashion show was opened by supermodel Naima Mora, the winner of America’s Next Top Model and closed by Mimi Tao, Project Runway’s first transgender model.

“We are honored to bring these talented Asian designers to New York and proud to have these top local and internationally known artists at our 11th Annual Fashion Show,” said Co-founder Diana Lee. “We are passionate about connecting the community and raising awareness in New York City. This would not have been possible without the support of our sponsors, designers, friends, volunteers and our fans. It has been eleven incredible years and we look forward to another decade of shows, entertainment, social networking and most importantly, multi-cultural collaboration as we continue to grow our relationships with community and inspire all to enjoy.”

AsianInNY’s 11th Annual Fashion Show is co-hosted by Good Maker, a professional biotechnology brand for hair and scalp care. The cocktail reception is presented by BobaMosa, Brooklyn Crafted Ginger Beer, Essentia Water, KOH Coconut, KOH Chips, Recolte Bakery, Singha Beer and VIVALOE. Other sponsors include BioCode, Erno Laszlo, Hello Taiwan, TCCNY, Taipei Cultural Center of New York, DJ eztioko, China Institute, Nest Seekers, Sofer, Skyline Tower and Aegis Service Corp. Fashion show hair is provided by Hair Philosophy, with make-up led by Willie Huang.
