Job Title: Film Festival Volunteer
Contact Name: Japan Society Film Program
Website: http://www.japansociety.org/film
Job Description: In its fourth consecutive year, JAPAN CUTS returns as the only large-scale Japanese film festival in North America, offering U.S. and NY premieres of the latest and best in Japanese cinema. Volunteers have always been a vital element of JAPAN CUTS, and with the most films ever in this summer’s festival (25 films, 32 screenings), that’s truer now than ever.
Volunteer duties include ticket handling, ushering and will call/registration. Volunteers are asked to arrive 90 minutes before the start time of the screening(s) they are helping out with and are guaranteed to see lots of great contemporary movies, free of charge.
For those interested, please take a look at the schedule at http://www.japansociety.org/japancuts and e-mail film@japansociety.org, noting your availability and why you’re interested in Japanese cinema.
