From the very first moment Hollywood laid eyes on the beautiful Anna May Wong, American cinema has portrayed Asian women through a narrow lens influenced by western biases. Join Asian Women in Business for a short-film highlighting the battle Asian women face to preserve an individual and authentic voice in an entertainment industry bunkered down by cliches. The film will be followed by a panel discussion focused on debunking Asian women stereotypes and the success or failure of such efforts within the broader context of a national media and Hollywood. Wine and movie food provided.
