Empowering Development Alternatives (EDA) is hosting the Launch Party and Fundraiser on Saturday, August 28, from 6-10pm, at Studio, 48 West 20th St. between 5th and 6th Ave. Cost is $30 per person and all proceeds from the event go to the Leaders of the Future education project.

The event will feature music and dance performance, an art display (exhibiting the donated work of EDA supporters) an art auction, food, drinks and raff…le prices.

EDA is a 501c3 non-profit organization based in New York and operating in Uganda. Our mission is to partner with disadvantaged communities and individuals in Uganda to creatively support unique opportunities for wholesome human and economic development. We target projects that generate sustainable income, support education and promote health care. Our current project Leader’s of the Future assists orphans in safely impoverished households in Jinja, Uganda, realize their full potential through access to quality secondary education and to improve their standard of living. The objective of this project is to provide scholarships for 20 students. www.em-powering.org
