Job Description: Generally responsible to provide material and service contracting support for Major Utility(NJ) transmission expansion projects.
Specific responsibilities include developing and/or managing the development of:
Sourcing strategies
Market Analysis
Bidders Lists
Request for Proposals
Bid Tabulation and Evaluations
Negotiation Strategies
Business Cases Justifying Sourcing Decisions
Sourcing Recommendations
Contract Documents
Additional Responsibilities include:
Maintaining adherence to project procurement schedules
Conducting Negotiations
Reporting progress to Company and Project Management
Managing third party contracting personnel
General Position Requirements:
5 to 10 years of procurement, sourcing, and materials management experience with large construction projects
A 4 year degree in engineering, business administration, or supply chain management
Possess an ISM C.P.M. certificate (Preferred)
Experience in required contracting methods:
EPC
EPCM
Design, Bid, Build
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of applications
A strong understanding of contracting principles and legal terms and conditions
Preferred Position Requirements:
A strong understanding of the Utility industry and transmission projects
Experience in services contacting related to electric utility transmission construction projects:
Land Clearing and Access Road Construction
Tower Foundation installation
Tower Erection
Overhead Transmission Line Construction
Substation and Switching Station Construction
Equipment Start-Up, Testing, and Commissioning
Experience in materials contracting related to electric utility transmission construction projects:
Conductor
Insulators Hardware Towers Substation Equipment
