What is the Audition / Workshop about?
Dancers should be prepared to learn a full choreography. Participation in this workshop does not guarantee placement in the performance. Only those who successfully complete the workshop and master the choreography will be invited to perform at Symphony Space at the end of September and other performances in the near future.

What is the choreography about?
A blend of contemporary dance with modern folkloric elements, theatrical belly dance and whirling dervish mediation. Dancers will work with props (i.e. Silk Veils)

Who is eligible to participate in this Audition / Workshop?
Dancers must:
Be professional or aspiring professional female dancers – 2 YEARS MINIMUM EXPERINCE.

All dance styles welcome. Lyrical jazz, modern and ballet are preferred. Theatrical belly dancers and folkloric / character dancers are also welcome.

Dancers should be able to learn and adapt quickly to any steps and routines they are taught.

Must be 18 years or older.

Preferred to be 5′5″ to 5′11″

WHEN is the Audition / Workshop?
The Audition / Workshop takes place on the following dates and times:
Date: September 11th, 12th, 18th, 19th (MUST be available on ALL these days)
Time: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Location: Manhattan

Dancers receive:

An opportunity to perform in Symphony Space.

Photos and video of the performance.

Future opportunity for paid employment.

The event will be reviewed in the media.

You will also learn a unique style of choreography from the company repertoire.
